getoffmyclit asked: Instead of actually going to school for cosmetology, why not apprentice at a salon? You get tons of hand on experience and don't have to sit in a classroom 4 out of 5 days a week. It's awesome experience and a great way to build up your clientele! You can buy a cosmetology text book on ebay, and go to that to learn things you don't learn from the person who's apprenticing you....

Anonymous asked: In hair you have to build money. Right now I'm an assistant, meaning minimum wage for 1-3 years, depending on the salon. Any good salon will take you, put you through extra classes, and then let you onto the floor. You'll have to then build cliental. So it will be lucrative, just not for the first bit.
